Roles and Responsibilities

  • Guide the team through development, testing and Implementation stages and review the completed works effectively for integrated weighing systems, switching, relays, inductive sensors, Photoelectric switches, security barriers, traffic signals, input and output devices, load cells and outdoor display units.
  • Provide direction and technical expertise and design, development and systems integration of miniature circuit breakers, backup generators, contactors, changeovers, switches, UPSs, and AVRs
  • Provide leadership in deployment of security, CCTV cameras and DVRs, Basic and specialized CCTV systems including ANPR Cameras, IP Cameras and Biometric Access readers.
  • Work closely with the ICT Manager in designing, development, deployment and support of Network active devices, IP switches, Fibre patch panels, Servers, and Desktop’s computers.
  • Identify resource and equipment requirements, efficient capacity planning and manage software and hardware availability.
  • Operation and Maintenance of Load Control facilities situated at different places within our major road network in Kenya.
  • Act as Technical Manager for the Purpose of ISO/IEC 17020:2012 Standard Implementation. Responsible for ensuring that all company personnel are aware of the relevance and importance of their activities, and how they contribute to the achievement of company’s Quality inspection objectives as per ISO/IEC 17020:2012 Standard.
  • Provide technical support for all inspection auditing activities and develop effective audit programming for Organization and Inspection activities in full compliance with our Policies, Procedure, and ISO/IEC 17020:2012 Standard requirements.
  • Continuously develop and maintain local rules, regulations, procedures, processes, and standards to ensure the safe and effective delivery of Weighbridge inspection techniques that meet client and project requirements.
  • Ensure operations, system reliability and efficiency for continued axle load enforcement and operational integrity.
  • Liaison with suppliers and clients to ensure timely execution of service and purchase orders and compliance to contractual requirements by suppliers.

Key Qualifications

  • Must possess a Bachelor of Science degree electrical and Electronics Engineering.
  • He/she should possess five (5) years hand-on experience in Network Administration or Systems Integration in a busy database management environment.
  • Knowledge of Traffic Law and enforcement.
  • Should be fluent in both English and Kiswahili.

Required Skills

He/she should have working and hands knowledge in:-

  • Integrated weighing systems, switching relays, inductive senses, photoelectric switches, security barriers, traffic signals, input and output devices, load cells and outdoor display units.
  • Miniature circuit Breakers, backup generators, contactors, changeover switches, UPSs and Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR)
  • Security, CCTV cameras and DVRs, Basic and Specialised CCTV systems including Automatic Number Plate Recognition Cameras (ANPR) Internet protocol (IP) cameras, Biometric Fingerprint readers
  • Network active devices, IP switches, fibre patch panels, servers and desktop computers.
