Detailed Tasks Assigned

  • He/she should depict leadership in managing all the ICT Infrastructure & Systems, equipment’s and Software’s within the weighbridge environment.
  • He/she will be in charge of new installations /rebuilds of existing servers and configuration of hardware, peripherals,services,settings,directories,storage in accordance with the standards and project/operational requirement.
  • He/she will be in charge of ICT infrastructure ,assets, Maintenance and replacement of all ICT Assets.
  • Must give regular reports to the Operations Manager and the Resident Engineer on matters ICT.
  • Ensuring KeNHA ICT policies and Procedures are implemented at the Weighbridge Level by the Management contractor.
  • Planning and running regular checks on Weighbridge network, data security, application logs and verify completion of scheduled data backups.
  • Review daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, software, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Ensure that regular file archival are performed and purged as necessary.
  • Oversee the functions and operation of the help-desk team and systems Administrators by ensuring all reported issues are resolved and escalated properly.
  • Ensure accurate reports are sent in accordance with the contract requirements on time.
  • Supervise the upgrade and configuration system software that support operations infrastructure applications and asset management applications as per project and operation needs.
  •  Provide proposals on system automation and upgrade to improve service deliver and integrity of the Weighbridge Management Systems.

Key Qualifications

  • He/she shall poses a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business & IT or Computer Engineering qualification.
  • he/she should possess at least five (5) years hand-on experience in network/system administration or system integration in a busy database management environment, two of which should be in Weighbridge management environment.
  • He/she should have ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Certification (or any other standard of ICT practice.
  • He/she should have Professional ICT qualifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), CCNA or other equivalent and recognized qualifications.

  • Fluent English and Kiswahili.

  • He/she should be a team player with wide experience in public or private and administration/management of ICT facilities/project in a similar role.
