Roles and Responsibilities

  • Overall management of the weighbridge activities to include planning/scheduling of key operations/activities. Ensure compliance to all contractual obligations including reporting to Client and ECWL Head Office.
  • In consultation with the Operations Manager, Assist the Sector head to formulate improvement performance strategy.
  • Patrol the cluster network at least 10 days per Month to monitor mobile operations.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all company personnel is aware of the relevance and importance of their activities, and how they contribute to the achievement of the company’s Quality inspection objectives as per ISO/IEC 17020:2012 Standard.
  • In consultation with the Operations Manager, engage stakeholders on axle load control matters.
  • Ensure targets for weighing compliance are achieved.
  • Ensure timely reporting of all challenges to Operations Manager& Managing Director for guidance.
  • Coordination with the Police on law enforcement in weighbridge operations.
  • Manage the staff at the weighbridge and effectively plan for their leave.
  • Implement the Quality Assurance Program of the weighbridge
  • Ensure the contract is managed in line with the terms of reference (TOR) and the General Conditions of the contract.

Key Qualifications

  • She/he shall possess a University Degree (BSc or BA) from a recognized University.
  • She/he shall demonstrate competence and a minimum of five (5) years proven experience in Business Administration, and wide experience with Public or Private Sector and administration/management of a technical facility/project in a similar capacity.
  • The candidate should be of high integrity, be well versed with the Laws of Kenya, especially, the Penal Code, the Civil Procedure Code, Company Law, Public Roads Act, and the Traffic Act (CAP 403) of the Laws of Kenya.
  • She/he should be computer literate and have excellent communication skills.
